A drum topper is the smallest way to put real filtration on a 55-gallon drum. It sits on the drum head, runs horizontally or vertically, and lifts by hand — so one unit can serve every drum in the lube room rather than one cart serving one machine.
New oil is not clean oil. It routinely arrives dirtier than the systems it is about to go into, and every transfer from a drum is a chance to make a reservoir worse rather than better. A drum topper closes that gap at the cheapest possible point: it mounts straight onto the drum head and filters the oil on its way out.
Because it is built on a heavy duty aluminium frame rather than a rolling chassis, it can be lifted from drum to drum by hand and run in either orientation — horizontal or vertical — which is what makes one unit practical for a whole lube room.
Both series filter oils up to 600 cSt (ISO VG 680) in ambient temperatures from −15°F to 150°F, run a 150 PSI pump relief, and take the same 7 ft hose set and ISO-B quick disconnects as the rest of the range.

The two series take different elements — different length, thread and pressure rating — so stock to the series you run. Outside Canada the D-Series water-removal element is P1048WR-USA.
Both series use the same frame, pump, motor options, flow rates and connections. They differ in the filter heads, how the change-out indicator reads, and how fine the standard elements filter.
Medium pressure cast aluminium heads with slide-bar indicators that trigger at 50 psid, shipping with water-removal and 7 micron elements. The lighter of the two at around 45 lb.
Aluminium heads with pop-up indicators that trigger at 50 psid, shipping with water-removal and finer 3 micron elements. Uses a sealed on/off toggle switch.
